PROTECTION FROM RADIATION

The meltdown is occurring in Japan and the jet stream is delivering it right to our door steps.  Now is the time to take action.

A second explosion rocks the crippled Fukushima Dalichi nuclear plant yesterday (1), (2) smoke starts to pour from the building housing the plant's third nuclear reactor before (3) as the building collapses, the black plume stretches up into the sky

1) Stay indoors and most importantly STAY OUT OF THE RAIN!

2) Find a clean source of water to drink

3) Protect your thyroid with Potassium Iodide
The RDA according to the Nutrition Almanac is 150 mcg (millionths of a gram) per day.  The latest therapeutic dose recommendations are complicated depending on age, body type, exposure etc. General guidelines are adults and adolescents a full therapeutic dose is 130 mcg.  Children over 3-12 yrs. 65 mcg.  Over one month-3 yrs.  32 mcg.  Birth to one month  16 mcg.  By saturating the thyroid gland it is protected up to one month., which is long enough for the radioactive iodine (which has a half life of 8 days) to disappear from the environment. With out the potassium iodide (KI) taken in advance of an attack to saturate the thyroid, its protective effect lasts about 24 hours! You should have tablets on hand.

3) Eat an abundance of dulse, kelp, and other brown sea weeds.  These sea vegetables bind to  heavy metals and radioactive elements and excrete them from the body.

4) Eat brown rice

5) Add lot's of Camu Camu to your smoothies (very high in vitamin C)

6) Eat an abundance of superfoods and fungi. Fungi are the single most available source of Vitamin D on Earth, and Vitamin D is the single most important hormone to our DNA.  Some scientists argue that  Fungi are the single most important food crop for our bodies and our survival on Planet Earth.  Some of the most powerful anit-cancer drugs are made from fungi.  They are incredibly powerful protectors of radiation.
