How can what you eat effect your moods, anxiety, depression and other emotions? Because there are certain nutrients that are required to produce neurotransmitters and hormones; to remove toxic cellular waste and balance the blood sugar. All of these functions effect your mental clarity and stability.
Fat is one of the most important nutrients for healthy brain function. Most people in our culture are fat starved: they are severely lacking the right kind of fat in their diet. Fat acts as a vehicle which transports vital nutrients across the cellular membrane. Fat also delivers toxins out of the cells and eliminates them from the body through the lymphatic system.
One of the most important things we can do to increase our mental clarity and mood stability is to make food choices that will naturally balance our blood sugar and our hormones.
The brain is a powerful organ and it has the capability of producing chemicals that allow us to feel euphoric and ecstatic... Unfortunately, these chemicals cannot be manufactured if the body is deficient in nutrients and essential fatty acids.

One of the most profound things you can do to support your immune system is to make food choices that are low on the glycemic index and will help to balance your blood sugar levels. Be mindful of EVERYTHING sweet that you eat.

STOP IRRADIATING YOUR BREASTS!
THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE!
ARE MAMOGRAMS SAFE?
See below what Samuel S. Epstein, M.D., Chairman of the Cancer Prevention Coalition says about mammograms.
Food & Drug Administration Admits Medical Radiation Risks, Ignores Mammography Dangers
“CHICAGO, IL, February 16, 2010 --The Cancer Prevention Coalition notes with approval that on February 9, the Food and Drug Administration announced that it would take stringent action to regulate "the most potent forms of medical radiation," particularly those from increasingly popular CT scans.
Cancer Prevention Coalition Chairman Samuel S. Epstein, M.D. commends the FDA for warning that such radiation is unsafe and equivalent to that of about 400 chest X-rays, 0.4 rads (radiation absorbed dose), and "can increase a person's lifetime cancer risk."
However, says Dr. Epstein, "the FDA remains strangely unaware that radiation from routine premenopausal mammography poses significant and cumulative risks of breast cancer."
This warning is contrary to conventional assurances that radiation exposure from mammography is trivial, about 1/1,000 of a rad, and similar to just that from a chest X-ray. However, Dr. Epstein explains, the routine practice of taking two films of each breast results in exposure of about 0.4 rads, focused on the breast rather than on the entire chest.
"Thus, premenopausal women undergoing annual screening over a ten-year period are exposed to a total of at least 4 rads for each breast, at least 8 times greater radiation than FDA's "cancer risk" level," Dr. Epstein calculates, warning, "Such high radiation exposure approximates to that of Japanese women living approximately 1 mile away from the site of the Hiroshima atom bomb explosion."
ALTERNATIVE BREAST IMAGING IS AVAILABLE
Meet my friend, Judy Mayor, from Auburn Thermography… “From personal experience (having gone through breast cancer, chemotherapy and surgery), I felt like I had no choices over my breast care. No choice is a disturbing and frustrating situation. After months of research, I became aware of all the advances made in infrared imaging, along with testimonials of many people that had had lifesaving experiences. Most importantly, I learned that infrared imaging could help prevent people from going through the anguish I experienced with breast cancer treatments."…Judy Mayer,

What Makes Infrared Imaging Different From Other Tests?
Current research has determined that the key to breast cancer survival rests upon its earliest possible detection. If discovered in its earliest stages, 95% cure rates are possible. Thermography gives you that edge.
The greatest difference lies in the type of information you get from different forms of imaging. For example, CT, MRI and EBT excel at looking for tumors in the body. If no tumor is found, does this mean you are in good health? The vast majority of health problems that affect us, and decrease our life span, do not come in the form of tumors. Many health problems that slowly evolve and rob you of your quality of life cannot be detected by CT, MRI or EBT. Infrared imaging provides a different way of examining the body.

I have recently found myself to be in Australia where I am making my way through the most beautiful beaches of Byron Bay and even more exquisite countryside and small farm towns on the winding back roads… I have been to a number of small dairy farms and cheese making kitchens, organic farms, farmers markets and even a large hydroponic farm just outside of Mullumbimby. I met the owner of an organic turmeric farm where I stayed for two nights and watched a turmeric harvest. The lovely couple who lived on the farm and operated the “Turmeric Gardens” were delightful and it turned out that they are one of the major importers of organic spices into Australia. They introduced me to the largest distributor of natural foods in Australia and escorted me the warehouse where I was able to go on a private tour with the owner of the company. I left with several amazing new products that I will be bringing back to the states!
The food here is about twice the cost of Northern California. I have yet to taste anything memorable even at the most highly recommended restaurants. I have stopped eating out altogether and have come to rely only on the farmers markets and a cardboard box that stores the fresh local fare: avocados, bananas, pineapples, red dragon fruit (cactus), and so much citrus… Amazing!
Today at the farmers market in Byron Bay I was asked by a man standing in line behind me where I was from. We got to chatting and I asked him about his shoes. They were beautiful and obviously hand made. He told me that he made them himself and I followed him to his car where he opened the trunk. Before we parted he reached into the back seat and gave me a bag of the most amazing fresh bee pollen I have ever tasted. He went on to tell me that he lives on bee pollen! I mixed about 4 Tablespoons of it with some fresh squeezed mandarin juice and it lasted me throughout the day. He shared with me that he mixes his bee pollen with organic fresh ginger juice, fresh lemon juice and raw honey with spring water. When my eyes lit up he pulled out a bottle of “Ginger Nectar” and I immediately looked for the address on the bottle. He said a good friend of his has been making it for many years right in town.
My next stop was the Ginger Nectar factory, which turned out to be a single woman in a beautiful warehouse. She spent a great deal of time with me telling me about the wonders of Ginger Nectar and the amazing responses that people have experienced from her juice. Ginger Nectar has become known as a delicious healing drink; a preventative flu and cold drink; and a hydrating and alkalizing drink... No surprise. I make the same drink for myself and my family (hot) when we are not feeling well.
This morning I am off to another farmers market and to meet up with many friends.
